Gustav Habermehl

Gustav Habermehl (born January 12, 1860 in Lohrbach , † February 4, 1931 in Freiburg ) was a German jewelry manufacturer and member of the Baden state parliament .

Life

After attending the secondary school in Heidelberg from 1873 to 1876, Habermehl was a commercial apprentice at the Pforzheim company Herb & Ohnmacht until 1879. Afterwards he was vice sergeant in the 1st Baden Leibgrenadier Regiment No. 109 in Karlsruhe . From 1894 he was an independent manufacturer of the Habermehl & Dietrich company in Pforzheim , of which he had been the sole owner since 1912. Habermehl was involved as a co-founder and board member in the employers' association for Pforzheim and the surrounding area. From 1919 to 1931 he was a member of the state parliament of the Republic of Baden . He belonged to the German National People's Party and the civil association. Habermehl was second vice-president of the Baden state parliament from 1928 to 1929 and was elected its senior president in 1929 .
