Gustav Johannes Landerer

Gustav Johannes Landerer (born August 3, 1845 in Göppingen ; † May 3, 1920 ibid) was a German neurologist and member of the academy of scholars " Leopoldina ".

Gustav Johannes Landerer was born as the son of Thekla and Heinrich Landerer . He studied medicine in Tübingen and received his doctorate there with a thesis on "the effects of papaverine on the mentally ill". Together with his two brothers Richard and Heinrich Landerer, he became the director of the Christophsbad sanatorium and nursing home that his parents had set up in Göppingen.

On August 13, 1884, Gustav Johannes Landerer was accepted as a member ( registration number 2468 ) in the Leopoldina .
