Gustav Krämer (politician)

Gustav Adolf Krämer (born April 27, 1909 in Traisa ; † May 9, 1991 ) was a Hessian politician ( SPD ) and a member of the Hessian state parliament .

education and profession

Gustav Krämer trained as a druggist after primary school. He attended the Berlitz School and worked abroad for several years. Back in Germany, he started his own business in retail and worked as an export merchant. After serving in the war , he was appointed managing director of the Darmstadt-Land Spruchkammer from June 18, 1946 to mid-1947 . From mid-1947 to the end of 1950 he was chairman of the ruling chamber in the Ministry for Political Liberation.

Gustav Krämer had been a member of the SPD since 1946. From 1950 to 1962 he was chairman of the SPD district association Darmstadt-Land. In terms of local politics, he was a member of the municipal council and the Darmstadt-Land district council from 1948. In the district assembly he led the SPD district assembly from 1948 to 1956. From 1956 to 1962 he was an honorary first district member, from September 27, 1962 to May 1973, district administrator of the Darmstadt district.

From December 15, 1954 to July 5, 1963 he was a member of the Hessian state parliament. Between 1958 and 1963 he was managing director of the SPD parliamentary group in the state parliament.
