Gustav Orglmeister (born December 23, 1861 in Prague , † October 25, 1953 in Vienna ) was an Austrian architect and builder of late historicism .

biography

Gustav Orglmeister was born in the Smírchov district of Prague as the son of an accountant. He graduated from the trade school in Reichenberg and the German Technical University as well as the arts and crafts school in Prague. In 1889, together with Franz Kupka, he founded the company Kupka & Orglmeister in Vienna and in 1890 was granted the city architect's license. Kupka and Orglmeister were very active. Among other things, they built residential and commercial buildings, villas, clubhouses for sports clubs and exhibition structures and even received orders for railway construction. From 1911 Orglmeister was an independent architect and sole owner of the construction company G. Orglmeister .
