Gustav Sandgren

Gustav Emil Sandgren (born August 20, 1904 in Västra Stenby, Motala , Östergötland , † August 11, 1983 in Stockholm ) was a Swedish writer.

Life

Sandgren was the son of OJ Sandgren and Karolina Adolfsson. In 1935 he married Titti Lindstedt. He lived on Lidingö for many years with his second wife, Ria Wägner .

After finishing school, he worked as an industrial worker for five years, but then became a full-time writer. He was part of the group of writers Fem unga and in 1929 participated in their anthology of the same name. In Germany he was mainly known for his children's books.

Sandgren also wrote under the pseudonym Gabriel Linde .
