Thure Gustav Klinckowström

Thure Gustav Klinckowström , also Gustav Thure (* October 27, 1693 , † January 16, 1765 ), was Chancellor of Swedish Pomerania .

Life

Thure Gustav von Klinckowström was a son of Martin Klinckowström, ennobled in 1684, and his first wife Anna Elisabeth Vorberger. In 1711 he became an extraordinary trainee lawyer at the Greifswald Court Court in 1715 . In 1721 he became an archivist. In 1732 he became feudal secretary of the Swedish government in Pomerania and in 1734 a councilor. In 1751 he was made a Knight of the North Star Order . In 1758 he became Chancellor and Director of the Swedish Pomeranian Government. For several years he was president of the Pomeranian Reduction Commission.

Together with his brother Leonhard he was raised to the status of Swedish baron in 1759 . He was married to Maria Charlotte von Borcke (1714–1785), a daughter of the Prussian major general Friedrich Wilhelm von Borcke . The marriage had two daughters and two sons. His son Thure Leonard Klinckowström (* 1735, † 1821) became the Swedish High Court Marshal and President of the Wismar Tribunal .

The later pastor of the Church of the Holy Spirit in Stralsund, Johann Christian Müller, was Hofmeister, ie private tutor, at Klinckowström from November 1751 to August 1752. He has reported on this in detail in his autobiography and has little flattering to say about the landlord.
