The Good Stubbe is an asset in the community Rieseby in the landscape Schwansen in Schleswig-Holstein .

history

The former Stvibu on what is now the property is said to have existed as early as 1197 and belonged to the Michaeliskloster in Schleswig . Later it was an episcopal castle, which was probably southwest of the current location. The castle, named Castrum, was plundered and destroyed several times, for example in 1410 and 1417. The bishop's castle was then rebuilt. In 1539 the castle was bought by the Ahlefeld family on Saxdorf. In 1646 Benedikt Pogwisch bought the estate. The owners then changed several times, in 1914 Peter Kruse bought it. Since 2005 the estate has belonged to the shipowner and entrepreneur Dr. Bernd Kortüm.

The good

Today's estate consists of a gatehouse , a barn and a manor house . The manor was rebuilt from 1793 by the then owner Nikolaus Klüver. From this year the barns were also built on the side of the courtyard entrance. The barns were demolished in 1918 (the eastern one) and 1931 (the western one). Immediately after the demolition, the eastern barn was replaced by a new building in the style of homeland security.

The mansion was built from 1804 to 1808 as a single-storey classicist brick building with eleven axes and a half-hip roof. The facade is characterized by a three-axis central projection with a second floor and a triangular gable. In the middle of the risalit is the entrance, in front of it there is a flight of stairs. The dormers in the roof may have been added later.

Around 1913/1914, the old gatehouse was demolished and a new gatehouse was built under the then owner Kurt Ludwig Waldthaus. It is a brick building with a gable roof. In the middle there is a risalit with a triangular gable and a gate passage. The risalit is embossed with pilasters, the gate passage is arched. There is a sandstone coat of arms above the passage, on the right and left are the letters K and W for Kurt Waldthaus. On the roof there is an octagonal lantern with open sides on which there is an onion dome.

park

To the side and to the north there is a park that was probably created in the last quarter of the 19th century. Its northern limit is formed by the railway line coming from Rieseby over the Lindaunis Bridge to Süderbrarup . There is also an old house and an old arch bridge. In the park there is a family grave of the Kruse family marked with a boulder. There is also a filled-in ice cellar in it .

Todays use

Today the farm is used for agriculture. This is how cattle, pigs, chickens and geese are kept. Here, among other things, the angler saddle pig and the Aberdeen Angus cattle are kept. The estate includes an orchard and a farm shop.
