Gyrinus is a genus of the tumble beetle family(Gyrinidae). It occurs in Europe with 14 species, seven of them also in Central Europe.

features

The beetles have a hairless and black colored surface, with or without a metallic sheen. The upper wings have 11 point stripes, of which the inner ones are sometimes more or less weak. They are not colored yellow at the edge of the page. The pronotum has a transverse furrow in front of the center and some transverse impressions on the disc.
