Hällefors is a place ( tätort ) in the Swedish province County Örebro and the historical province Västmanland . It is also the capital of the municipality of the same name .
The name of the place first appeared in 1643 as a name for a silver mine ( Hellefårs Sillfwerbruk ), which existed from 1639 until the 19th century.
Hallsfors is on the Kil – Ställdalen railway line .
Worth seeing
To the south of the town center lies Millesparken, a sculpture and residential park with 18 sculptures by Carl Milles (1875–1955), the largest collection outside of Stockholm. Carl Milles is one of the most important Swedish sculptors.
To the west of the town center is the Mästarnas Park with sculptures by 11 artists such as B. Johan Peter Molin (1814–1873) and Eric Grate (1896–1983).
