Héctor Santos Llorente (born January 6, 1998 in Madrid ) is a Spanish athlete who specializes in the long jump .
Career
Héctor Santos gained his first international experience in 2015 when he finished eleventh at the Youth World Championships in Cali with a width of 7.11 m. The following year he retired from the U20 World Championships in Bydgoszcz with 6.83 m in qualification and in 2017 he won the bronze medal at the U20 European Championships in Grosseto with a jump of 7.96 m. In 2018 he finished fourth at the U23 Mediterranean Championships in Jesolo with 7.77 m and then came tenth at the Mediterranean Games in Tarragona with 7.48 m. At the U23 Mediterranean Indoor Championships 2019 in Miramas he finished fourth with 7.54 m and then won the silver medal behind the Greek Miltiadis Tendoglou at the U23 European Championships in Gävle with a width of 8.19 m . He also qualified for the World Championships in Doha , where he did not reach the final with 7.69 m .
