Héctor Velázquez Moreno
Velázquez studied from 1949 at the Escuela Nacional de Arquitectura of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), then at Harvard University and at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and as a scholarship holder at the École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts in Paris. In the 1950s he worked with other well-known architects on designs for the UNAM university town . He designed church buildings, numerous residential and office buildings at home and abroad and often cooperated with other well-known architects.
From 1963 to 1965 he was president of the Colegio de Arquitectos de la Ciudad de México (CAM) in the Sociedad de Arquitectos de México , was also director of non-profit housing in the Distrito Federal de México , director of architecture and urban planning in the Secretaría de Obras Públicas and general representative for projects, buildings and maintenance at UNAM. Together with Ramón Torres Martínez he founded the Torres y Velázquez Arquitectos y Asociados and was co-founder of the Despacho de Arquitectos HV in 1990 . SA de CV
