Héctor y Tito

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Héctor y Tito was a reggaeton duo from Carolina ( Puerto Rico ).

The heads of the band, Héctor (actually Héctor Delgado Román, born 1979) and Tito (actually Efraín Fines Nevárez, born 1981) have been performing as solo artists since 2006.

The duo's biggest hit was Baila morena (2003, with Luny Tunes y Noriega), their songs Gata salvaje (2002, with Don Omar ), Ay amor (2003, with salsa artist Víctor Manuelle ) and Felina ( 2002) as well as her two songs on the reggaetón-style (and with the Billboard Award winning) mixtape album DJ Nelson presenta: Luny Tunes y Noriega - Más flow (2003): Amor de colegio and Cae la noche .

The solo careers

In 2006, Héctor & Tito separated.

As the first of the two, Tito released his album Top Of The Line under the name Tito El Bambino , which received very good reviews and was number 1 in the album charts in Puerto Rico . Although some had suspected that Tito could not maintain the high level that Héctor & Tito enjoyed as a duo, he amazed his critics with challenging songs, the level of which was also increased by high-profile features such as by Daddy Yankee or Don Omar . Tito's image changed with this album, as he also rapped (for example in the song Caile ). There are now remixes of the song Caile with Daddy Yankee, Julio Voltio and Zion . Further highlights of the album are a fusion of reggaetón and dancehall in the song Flow natural (feat. Beenie Man ), a genuine, Cuban-sounding son in the song Sonsoneo and calm ballads such as the song Secretos .

Héctor , who initially also called himself Héctor 'El Bambino' and later Héctor 'El Father' and Héctor 'El Padre' , was signed to Jay-Z 's Def Jam label in 2006 and transferred to the Roc-La- Familia integrated. Along with Jay-Z released Héctor finally in June 2006 the mixtape under the name of Héctor 'El Padre' y Jay-Z presentan Los RompeDiscotecas which also stars of the US - Hip-hop such was acquired scene (eg. Freeway in Song Soñando by Polaco), or the hip-hop heavyweight Fat Joe in the song Yomo Dele (ft. Yomo ). Jay-Z can also be heard on the album, namely in the song Here We Go Yo as support for Héctor. At the end of 2006, Hector released a new album: The Bad Boy . This album also features a song against the reggaetón rapper Don Omar ( En busca de ti feat. Polaco).
