The Hôtel de Chapelaines in Troyes , the administrative seat of the Aube department in the Grand Est region , was built around 1535. The Hôtel particulier at 55 Rue Turenne has been classified as a Monument historique since 1926 .

The house stone city ​​palace was built for Nicolas Largentier. It was built on the site of the Hôtel de Clairvaux .

In 1629 King Ludwig XIII stayed overnight . and in 1813 the Austrian Emperor Franz II in the Hôtel de Chapelaines.

The Renaissance- style facade has five axes and is adorned by a balustrade at the end of the roof.
