architecture

The magnificent portal is framed by pilasters . The tympanum of the arched portal has a carved relief depicting two angels holding a medallion in which the monogram A stands for Amelot. The Hôtel particulier adjoins the courtyard at right angles. The building with its ground floor, high first floor and a mansard roof no longer has its original facade decoration. The magnificent staircase with wrought iron railing was created by Pierre Le Muet and renovated together with the rest of the building in the 1990s.
