The Hönnige is a right tributary of the Wupper . It rises in Halver , flows through the Wipperfürth villages of Kupferberg , Wasserfuhr , Hönnige and Harhausen and flows, fed by the Schevelinger Dam , at the Wipperfürth main town in the Wupper.
There is an underground connection from the Wasserfuhr compensation basin to the Neyetalsperre . The water quality is I-II.
