To the left the Hörnumer Odde , to the east of it (in the picture: above) is the Hörnumtief

The Hörnumtief ( Danish : Hørnum Dyb , North Frisian : Hörnem Diip ( Sölring ) or Hörnem Jip ( Fering )) is a creek in the North Sea near Hörnum on Sylt . The 23 meter deep tidal creek separates the islands of Sylt in the west and Föhr with the north-west upstream Liinsand in the east, and flows in the south in the Vorrappenief . The tributaries in the north are called Eidumtief , Westerley and Osterley , the eastern Föhrer Ley and the western Rantumlohe . Since the creek is curved, it hits the east coast of the Hörnumer Odde .

In the transition to the pre-tipping low, the depth is up to 42 meters.
