Hörzhausen is a district of the city ​​of Schrobenhausen in the district of Neuburg-Schrobenhausen , which belongs to the administrative district of Upper Bavaria in Bavaria . The village of Halsbach and the wasteland of Mantelberg also belong to the Hörzhausen district .

geography

Hörzhausen is 6 km west-southwest of Schrobenhausen on the ND 3 district road , which then leads west past Halsbach. The Paartalbahn runs from Augsburg-Hochzoll to Ingolstadt immediately south of the village ; there is no breakpoint. Hörzhausen is due to the couple ; the Paarauen in the local corridor are a nationally significant wetland.

history

Hörzhausen was first mentioned in the 11th century as the center of the Ebersberg county. After their extinction, the Scheyern Monastery came into the possession of the town through a donation around 1100. The landlords changed several times in the following centuries. Until June 30, 1972, Hörzhausen belonged to the district of Schrobenhausen as an independent municipality and came to the new district of Neuburg an der Donau during the regional reform in Bavaria , which was renamed the district of Neuburg-Schrobenhausen on May 1, 1973 . At the same time it was incorporated into the city of Schrobenhausen. Eight local associations (as of February 2018) ensure an independent village life.

Church and school

Hörzhausen forms its own Roman Catholic parish, which belongs to the Schrobenhausen parish community. The parish church of St. Martin is a hall church. The choir dates back to the 15th century, the nave is from 1875. The church foundation is also responsible for the local kindergarten, which was opened in 1993 after renovation work in the former village school.

A simple village school had existed in Hörzhausen since the 17th century. Today the children attend the primary school in Schrobenhausen, where they have a wide range of secondary and secondary schools.
