Høge bru

The Høge bru ( Norwegian for "High Bridge") is a bridge in Hellesylt in the Norwegian municipality of Stranda in the province of Møre og Romsdal .

The bridge leads as part of a branch of Fylkesvei 60 over the Dalaelva River down to the center of Hellesylt. The Hellesyltfossen waterfall falls below the bridge .

The bridge was built from bricks in 1907 . It served as a replacement for a previous wooden building from the 19th century that was destroyed in a flood in 1906. During the construction of the Hellesyltporten road tunnel , the bridge was rebuilt in 1995/1996. It was performed using pre-stressed concrete widening the roadway from 3.2 to 6.0 meters, the bridge width increased overall 6.90 meters and a sidewalk was made possible. The length of the bridge is 16 meters with a span of 15 meters.
