Hülen is a district of the Baden-Württemberg city of Lauchheim . The village is located on the northern edge of the Härtsfeld .

history

Hülen was first mentioned in 1235 in a document from the Lorch monastery . The place name comes from Hülbe or Hüle , the name for a hole in the ground that was used to store water. The place was a hamlet of the Kapfenburg and first owned by the Counts of Oettingen , before it went to the Teutonic Order together with the castle in 1364 . In 1806 Hülen fell to the Kingdom of Württemberg , and in 1823 it became an independent municipality. The incorporation to Lauchheim took place on December 31, 1974.
