history

The bank traces its beginnings back to the savings and loan association Werlte, which was founded in 1893. In 1973 the name was changed to Volksbank Werlte eG. In the course of the merger with Raiffeisenbank Vrees-Rastdorf eG in 1996, the name was changed to Hümmlinger Volksbank eG.

The legal basis of the bank are the statutes of Hümmlinger Volksbank eG and the cooperative law .
