Hüseyin Hüsnü Kılkış

Hüseyin Hüsnü Kılkış (* 1881 in Kilkis , Greece , † 1946 in Ankara ) was a Turkish lieutenant general of the army (Türk Kara Kuvetleri) .

Life

Kılkış served as an officer in the army of the Ottoman Empire and took part in the Turkish Liberation War as a colonel (Albay) on the General Staff between 1920 and 1923 . There he was Deputy Chief of Staff on the Western Front during the Greco-Turkish War and most recently commander of the 6th Brigade.

After the founding of the Republic of Turkey on October 29, 1923, Kılkış was accepted into the army and finally promoted to lieutenant general (co- general ) . In 1946, shortly before his death, he was adopted into retirement.
