Hans Dieter Klein

Hans Dieter Klein (* 1951 in Wolfratshausen ) is a German photographer and science fiction author.

Life

Born in 1951 in Wolfratshausen, Bavaria, Hans Dieter Klein lives and works in Munich . Klein first studied aerospace engineering . After completing his studies, Klein was accepted into the Bavarian State School for Photography in 1979. In 1981 he completed his studies in photography and worked for two years as an assistant to various photographers until he finally opened his own photo studio, "Studio Eins GmbH", in Munich in 1983.

In 1990, after reading a science fiction novel, Klein decided that he would like to write stories himself - seven years later he published his first novel, Googol, with Heyne Verlag . Phainomenom followed in 2003 and Googolplex in 2006, and Drake in 2013 . In 2018, Klein released Divine .

Klein was nominated for the Kurd-Laßwitz-Prize for his first two works .
