Hans-Dieter Klein
Hans-Dieter Klein (born October 13, 1940 in Vienna ) is an Austrian philosopher and emeritus professor at the University of Vienna .
Life
After studying composition from 1953 to 1963 at the Vienna Academy of Music and Performing Arts in the class of Otto Siegl , which he completed with a graduation examination, he began studying philosophy and musicology at the University of Vienna and graduated with a doctorate sub auspiciis from. In 1969 he completed his habilitation in philosophy. Since 1975 he has been an associate professor, from 1982 a full professor at the University of Vienna.
In 1988 he became a corresponding and in 1990 a full member of the Austrian Academy of Sciences , and in 1991 he became President of the International Society “System of Philosophy”. The investigation of the conditions of existence of systems of philosophy - from Leibniz to the present day - is also one of Klein's central concerns.
