The HAV Verkehrsbetriebsgesellschaft mbh & Co.KG was a private bus company in Darmstadt . The abbreviation HAV stands for Hessischer Autobus-Verkehr.

According to its own information, HAV had the approvals for the lines U, K55 / K85, K56, K57, K58 as well as for the "line bundle Weiterstadt" with the lines 675, 5513, 5515 and 5516. These lines should be according to the request of the Darmstadt-Dieburger local transport organization (DADINA) to be extended until the end of 2015. The lines were operated independently.

This made HAV one of the larger public transport providers in the city of Darmstadt , but was significantly smaller than the municipal company HEAG mobilo .

At the beginning of 2014, the fleet consisted of 8 Mercedes-Benz Citaro solo cars, 6 Mercedes-Benz Citaro articulated buses , 1 Mercedes-Benz O 405 N , 6 Mercedes-Benz O 405 GN, 5 Setra S315NF and one Mercedes-Benz O 405 N. The depot was located near the Darmstadt main station . The company was also active in coach transport . The managing director was Ralph Nadler until the end.

insolvency

On November 11, 2013, the Darmstadt District Court opened the insolvency proceedings of the HAV Verkehrsbetriebsgesellschaft. The reason are liquidity problems. Mirko Lehnert from the law firm Schiebe und Collegen has been appointed insolvency administrator. On December 20, 2013, the DADINA association meeting decided that the "Weiterstadt line bundle" and the U line would be awarded to HEAG mobilo until 2015 .

The lines K55 / K85, K56, K57 and K58 were taken over by the newly founded alliance of bus company StadtLandBus . Both companies have taken over a large majority of the former HAV employees.

The active operation of the HAV Verkehrsbetriebsgesellschaft ceased on February 28, 2014.
