The HC Wacker Munich (short HCW or HC Wacker , complete: Hockey Club Wacker Munich ) is a hockey - and tennis -Verein from Untersendling in the south of Munich . It emerged from the 1911 founded hockey department of the sports club Monachia Munich, founded in 1890 . The club has had its club premises on Brüdermühlstrasse since 1934. It includes an artificial hockey turf and a natural hockey turf field, six tennis clay courts and a tennis hall with three courts. The natural hockey turf has largely not been used in practice for a long time, but only serves as a warm-up area.
Hockey department
The hockey department has around 450 members, including around 250 young people. The men's 1st team plays on the field in the 2nd Regionalliga Süd and in the hall in the Oberliga. There are also two other championship teams and two senior teams in the men's area. The women's 1st team is currently the figurehead of the department and is a member of the 2nd regional field hockey league. In the hall, the team also plays in the 2nd Regionalliga Süd. Another women's team and a senior team complete the women's area. HC Wacker has 26 youth teams. The girls' A's greatest success in recent years came in the 2001/2002 indoor season with the German championship. Furthermore, holiday camps are offered for young people.

Tennis department
The tennis department has around 300 members, including around 115 children and young people who play in eight adult and seven youth teams.
Hall project
Since 2007, the association and two schools that are also in the immediate vicinity from the general Munich hall shortage, the Dante and Klenze grammar school , have been pursuing the desire to build their own triple sports hall on the premises of the district sports facility. The project was rejected in 2013 for reasons of building law.
