HD 170469 is a yellow subgiant in the constellation Ophiuchus, about 212 light years away . It has an apparent magnitude of 8.2 mag. The star is accompanied by an exoplanet with the systematic name HD 170469 b with a period of 1087 days, the major semiaxis of the orbit measuring approx. 2 astronomical units . The discovery of the extrasolar planet was made using the radial velocity method and was made in 2007 by Fischer et al. published.
