Carmen Blazejewski
Carmen Blazejewski (born January 14, 1954 in Grimma ) is a German filmmaker and writer.
Life
Carmen Blazejewski grew up in a family of teachers in Colditz and began studying at the Hans Otto Theater School in Leipzig in 1973 . She graduated in 1977 with a degree in theater studies . In 1975, while still a student, she was assistant director at the children's theater in East Berlin . She then worked as a dramaturge at the Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz in Berlin until 1978 . In 1980 she moved to the DEFA studio for feature films in Babelsberg as a dramaturge and author and met her future husband Andreas Höntsch. After the birth of her first daughter in 1986, Carmen Blazejewski works as a freelance writer and dramaturge and writes books for children and adults, scripts, radio plays and plays as well as film dramaturgies . In 1993 she moved to New Nantrow .
In 2002 she received the Segeberger Feder for the youth book Störtebeker's Daughter . In 2012 she made her debut as a film director with the documentary “Kleines Stück vom Schicksal”, which won the 2013 film award at the 17th Schleswig-Holstein Film Festival . In October 2016 she completed the shooting of the artistic ( split screen technique) documentary "Dialoge" with Birgit Lohmeyer and her husband.
Carmen Blazejewski is a long-standing member of the GEDOK Association of Women Artists , of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern-Film eV and of the Writers' Association North.
