Segeberger spring
The Segeberger Feder is a literary prize awarded by children and young people from the city of Bad Segeberg . The children choose their “Book of the Year” from a shortlist of twelve titles by German-speaking authors for 13- to 18-year-olds compiled by the Bad Segeberg public library. The award is endowed with 1,000 euros. The Segeberger Feder is the only youth literature award from Schleswig-Holstein .
The annual “Spring Reading” starts on April 23, World Book Day . The award is presented to the chosen author on the 1st Saturday in November as part of a reading together with a feather sculpture.
