The HEAG mobilo GmbH is a transport company based in Darmstadt and a subsidiary of HEAG AG and the district Darmstadt-Dieburg. The company is the lead company for the transport division in the HEAG Group and has the following subsidiaries: HEAG mobiBus GmbH & Co. KG ( regular bus services and special bus services ), HEAG mobiTram GmbH & Co. KG (operator of Darmstadt tram traffic ) and Nahverkehr Service GmbH (NVS ) (Regular services in the Bergstrasse district).
Company history
The corporate structure in its current form came into being on January 1, 2005. The previous HEAG Verkehrs-GmbH , founded in 1990 , was renamed the parent company HEAG mobilo and the tram and workshop operations were spun off into two new companies.
The private bus company Bergstrasse travel agency Glück & Seitz GmbH & Co. KG from Seeheim-Jugenheim , which was taken over by HEAG in 1998 , became HEAG mobiBus, to which the bus services of the Verkehrs-GmbH were also transferred. The previous sister company was subordinated to the new HEAG mobilo as a subsidiary.
In 2001, the private Rödermark bus company Jans und Söhne Alpen-Express-Reisen GmbH was integrated into Glück & Seitz's operations.
HEAG mobiBus also held a 25% stake in Nahverkehrs-Service GmbH (NVS) in Bensheim , which was founded in 2000, through the takeover of Glück & Seitz , an amalgamation of several regional bus companies in southern Hesse and neighboring regions, in which the RNV subsidiary Omnibusbetriebe Beth GmbH in Lampertheim, the Abellio subsidiary Werner GmbH & Co. KG in Bensheim and the First Group subsidiary Arthur Merl GmbH & Co. KG in Speyer. NVS has been a 100 percent subsidiary of HEAG mobilo since 2008.
