The HOME & HOUSE Holding GmbH is the holding company for all companies in the HOME & HOUSE Group based in Duisburg . The products are produced in two plants in Auerbach in the Upper Palatinate and in Osterfeld (near Naumburg).
History and locations
In 1971 Rolf Schommers sen. with the direct sale of roller shutters in the greater Nuremberg area and founded the HEIM & HAUS Vertriebsgesellschaft mbH in Lauf an der Pegnitz . 1974 saw the establishment of an own production facility for roller shutters, windows , awnings and house doors by founding HEIM & HAUS Kunststofffenster Produktions GmbH in Auerbach in the Upper Palatinate. In 1976 HEIM & HAUS Produktionsgesellschaft mbH was founded in Duisburg in order to expand sales activities to West Germany.
After German reunification , regional customer centers were set up in Mecklenburg , Saxony , Thuringia and Berlin in 1990 . In 1994 HEIM & HAUS Bauelemente Vertriebs GmbH was founded in Osterfeld (near Naumburg), where canopies have been produced since 1995 .
In 1996, HEIM & HAUS Holding GmbH was founded as an umbrella company for all companies in the HEIM & HAUS group of companies.
The plant in Auerbach in Upper Palatinate was expanded in 2002 with a new production facility for security entrance doors, followed in 2004 by the construction of a modern production facility for canopies and patio roofs in Osterfeld (near Naumburg). In 2008 the plant in Auerbach was expanded to include a new production hall for renovation roof windows. The plant in Osterfeld was expanded in 2013 to include a production facility for patio roofs, glazing elements and canopies, as well as an administration building.
In 2016 a new administration building with showrooms was opened at the Duisburg location.
100 percent of the shares are held by the Schommers and Nühlen families.
Products
The product range includes burglar-resistant plastic windows , front door systems with multi-point locks, canopies, awnings , roller shutters , skylights , garage doors , patio roofs , shading systems and conservatory shading.
Others
The company has several RAL quality marks, was awarded 3 premium stars by the Institute for Window Technology in 2011 and is a member of the German Direct Sales Association .
