The HMS Enterprise (tactical identifier H88) is a multi-function research vessel for hydrographic and oceanographic tasks (SVHO) of the Royal Navy . Together with her sister ship, the HMS Echo (H87) , she forms the Echo class of research vessels.

Calls

In addition to its scientific tasks, the ship is repeatedly used for humanitarian missions. In September 2005 it was used for research in the Gulf of Aden and the Somali Basin with the Saudi military. In August 2014, the Enterprise was used to evacuate 110 British citizens from Libya, a country of civil war. From summer 2015 onwards, the ship formed the British contribution to the EU NAVFOR Med and replaced the Bulwark ; it was replaced by another ship in 2016 or 2017.
