The HTC U Ultra is an Android -based smartphone that is produced and sold by the manufacturer HTC as part of its U series. It has been available in Germany since January 12, 2017.

The most striking feature is a small second screen above the large screen. Contacts can be displayed there, the weather display or music can be controlled. It is equipped with a 5.7-inch Quad HD display (2560 × 1440 pixels). The glass on the front is Gorilla Glass 5 . The camera on the back has 12 MP with a 1.55 μm pixel size and a ƒ / 1.8 opening. It has optical image stabilization (OIS). The front camera has 16 MP and a ƒ / 2.0 aperture.
The smartphone comes with a Snapdragon 821 and is equipped with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage.
The device is available in blue, white, pink and black.
Critics complain that the device does not have a 3.5 millimeter jack. Instead, specially designed headphones are included, which are connected via USB Type C and, according to the manufacturer, achieve a superior sound quality.

The HTC U Ultra originally shipped with Android 7.0 with HTC Sense 8.0 . HTC Sense Companion is preinstalled or has been delivered with a software update. The update to 8.0 has now been released.
