The Haagse Voetbal- en Cricketvereniging "Quick" , HV & CV "Quick" for short , founded in 1896 as Haagse Voetbalvereeniging "Quick" (HVV "Quick") , is a sports club from 's Gravenhage with a football and cricket department . The club colors are navy blue and white. The club's first football team played in the top division until the mid-1920s. She was the Dutch champion in 1908 . The club won the KNVB Cup twice with the first and second teams . The cricket department founded in 1927 became Dutch champions several times in the second half of the 20th century and most recently in recent years and, since the turn of the millennium, the women's teams.

history

On March 1, 1896, ten football enthusiasts from the Hague founded the Haagse Voetbalvereeniging "Quick". In 1898 the club was accepted into the second division of the Hague Football Association and ended the first season in first place. In 1900, after the second championship, HVV Quick joined the Dutch Football Association NVB . In 1904 the team rose to the Eerste class , the top division. Two years later, Henk Muller was the first quick player in the national team . 1908 became the first team Dutch master, in the following two years, the reserve won the beker Holdert- called Cup of the NBI , 1911 this was achieved also Quick 1. Another cup win they recorded in 1916. This was followed in 1920 the first descent, but in 1922 returned the team for three more years in the top division. The men's cricket team, founded in 1927, rose to the top division for the first time in 1951. In 1956, Pieter A. Marseille was the first quick player on the national cricket team ; nevertheless, the team rose again this year. After several promotions and relegations, the first Dutch championship followed in 1965, a success that could be repeated five years later. Relegations followed again, even up to the third division, before another triumph followed in 1986. While the men's team then commuted again between the highest leagues, the women's cricket team began to draw attention to itself. In 2001 and 2002 she became champion two years in a row; in the 2000s they were the best team in the Netherlands five times.
