Haškova Lhota

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Haškova Lhota is a medieval deserted village on the boundary between Chýšť ( Okres Pardubice ) and Kratonohy ( Okres Hradec Králové ) in the Czech Republic .

location

The desert is located about two kilometers south of Obědovice on the Dobřenická plošina in the Vrše forest . Haškova Lhota is located on the terrace of a watercourse that has now dried up. The Medenec (281 m nm) rises to the southeast, the Lhotáček (290 m nm) and the Soudný (288 m nm) to the south and the Nedabylice (288 m nm) to the southwest.

history

The village was probably laid out in the 13th or 14th century according to the Lote system. Haškova Lhota was first mentioned in writing in 1454. In 1513, Mikuláš Rohovlád von Bělá and Jan Šust von Choteč sold the village to Wilhelm von Pernstein . Presumably, Haškova Lhota went out around the same time as Nedabylice .

The forest area Na Lhotách is listed in the Chlumetzer land register of 1571 , but the village was no longer mentioned. In 1670 Haškova Lhota was called a desert village.

Later, the location of the desert was forgotten and was assumed for a long time to the west - on the edge of the forest by the Lhotáček pond. Archaeological investigations in the area around the pond did not produce any results, however, only remains of piles were found in the forest. In 2015, the area near the Lhotáček forest house was examined more closely after a line network was detected in the area on the DMR 5G digital relief map. In the stable cadastre this place is called Mezy obcy . The eccentric shape of the district boundaries between Chýšť and Kratonohy suggests that the corridors of Haškova Lhota were divided in a straight line between the two villages.

The unfavorable natural location of the corridor on a long, flat northern slope is assumed to be the cause of the downfall . During the melting of the snow, it was observed that the forest in the desert was under water and that the moisture was also accumulating in the fields to the north.
