Haardtwald (near Thalfang)
The Haardtwald (near Thalfang) is a forest area north of the municipality of Thalfang in the Hunsrück and is located between Berleicht , Gielert , Thalfang and Talling in Rhineland-Palatinate .
The forest area has a size of about 5 km², lies between the Rhineland-Palatinate state roads L 150 and L 155 and borders on the Berleicht-Heidenburg wind farm in the west .
In the north-west of the area is the Berger Wacken with 487 meters above sea level. in the district of Berglich, the highest altitude of the area is reached in the district of Thalfang at 540 meters above sea level.
The mineral water educational and adventure trail runs through the Haardtwald .
