The Haardtwald is one to 658 m above sea level. NHN high part of the Hunsrück low mountain range in Rhineland-Palatinate , Germany .
geography
The Haardtwald is located in the north-west of the Hunsrück, framed between the Moselle in the north, Bundesstraße 50 in the east and the Dhron in the south and west. The ridge is a closed forest area on a quartzite ridge that extends in an east-west direction for 15 km and in a north-south direction for 6 km and has an area of approx. 7,300 ha . The highest point is the 658 meter high Haardtkopf in the east end of the forest area.
