Habib Chamieh

Juan Habib Chamieh OMM (born October 7, 1966 in Beirut , Lebanon ) is a Lebanese religious and appointed bishop of the Maronite eparchy of St. Sharbel of Buenos Aires .

Life

Habib Chamieh joined the religious community of the Maronite Order of the Blessed Virgin Mary and made perpetual vows on September 7, 1991 . Chamieh received on 14 August 1992, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On 17 April 2013 it appointed Pope Francis to the titular bishop of Nomentum and ordered him to the Apostolic Administrator of the Eparchy of St. Scharbel of Buenos Aires. He was ordained bishop on May 25th of the same year by the Maronite Patriarch of Antioch , Béchara Pierre Cardinal Raï OMM . Co- consecrators were the bishop emeritus of the Eparchy of St. Sharbel of Buenos Aires, Charbel Georges Merhi CML , and the bishop emeritus of Cairo , François Eid OMM.

On November 22, 2019, Francis appointed him Bishop of the Eparchy of St. Sharbel of Buenos Aires.
