The Habring is a 1497  m above sea level. A. high summit of the Murberge in the Upper Mur Valley , Styria .

Location and landscape

The Habring rises between the valley of the Mur near St. Georgen ob Judenburg and the Blahbach , a side valley of the Pölstal , near Oberzeiring . It is the main summit in the east ridge of the Bocksruck  ( 1783  m above sea level ), which is not very structured as far as the Pölshals .

Development

In spring 2019, a priority zone for the expansion of the wind energy system was under discussion (Bocksruck-Habring) . It was planned on the ridge between the Bocksruck and Habring summits , the mountain itself would not have been affected. To the northwest opposite, on Schönberg near Oberzeiring, the Tauernwindpark has been located since 2002 .
