The Hackapike Bay is a natural anchorage off the northeast coast of Anvers Island in the West Antarctic Palmer Archipelago . The bay is bounded 6.5 km northwest of Cape Van Rijswijck by Andrews Point and the islands of False Island , Pear Island and Head Island .
It was mapped during the British Graham Land Expedition (1934–1937) under the direction of the Australian polar explorer John Rymill . It is named after the pickaxe that is used to kill the animals when hunting seals.
