Hadi Soua'an Al-Somaily
Hadi Soua'an Al-Somaily ( Arabic هادي صوعان الصميلي, DMG Hādī Ṣūʿān aṣ-Ṣumailī ; * December 30, 1976 in Taif ) is a Saudi Arabian athlete whose specialty is the 400-meter hurdles .
At the World Championships in Gothenburg in 1995 and in Seville in 1999 , he failed in the run-up. At the Olympic Games in Sydney in 2000 he surprisingly won the silver medal with his personal best of 47.53 seconds behind Angelo Taylor (USA) and ahead of Llewellyn Herbert (RSA).
At the 2001 World Cup in Edmonton, he was fourth. In 2002 he won gold at the Asian Games and in 2005, as before in 2000, at the Asian Championships.
