The Hafenpark is a four-hectare sports and leisure area in Frankfurt's Ostend , on the northern bank of the Main between Deutschherrnbrücke , Mayfarthstraße and Honsellstraße. The park is the result of a European planning competition from 2009, advertised by the Green Space Office of the Frankfurt city administration. The inauguration took place on July 18, 2015.

The park was created through the garden architecture redesign of fallow areas. These were created as part of the new building of the European Central Bank and the associated bridge and road renovation work, as well as the new construction of the Osthafenbrücke and its traffic connection to the road and path network. The Hafenpark is integrated into the Frankfurt green belt and its network of cycling and hiking trails, a section of the green belt circular hiking trail leads along the western edge of the park. There is a connection to local public transport in Frankfurt am Main via the Frankfurt Ostbahnhof located around 500 m to the north .
