Hagen Brandstäter (born November 28, 1958 in Brandenburg an der Havel ) is a German business economist and administrative director and deputy director of the Berlin-Brandenburg broadcasting company .

Life

Brandstäter studied business administration at the University of Cologne from 1983 to 1987 . From 1984 to 1989 he worked as a systems analyst at Dynamit Nobel AG in Troisdorf near Cologne. From 1988 he was group leader there.

He began his work in the broadcasting network of ARD in 1990 at WDR , initially as a systems analyst and organizer . He then worked as a consultant in the directorship: first for Friedrich Nowottny , later for Fritz Pleitgen .

In 1997 Brandstäter took over the management of application development and became deputy head of the "Organization and Information Systems" department.

From 1999 he headed the “Production Management and IT Strategy” department. At the same time he was deputy head of the production department. He headed the ARD / ZDF working group “Production Management Television” until he switched to the RBB .

Brandstäter has been administrative director of the RBB since it was founded in 2003 and began his third term in office in May 2013. Since May 2008 he has also been the station's deputy director.

From 2007 on, he headed the ARD / ZDF working group on broadcasting fees. At the end of 2010, ARD, ZDF and Deutschlandradio initiated an overall project to convert the license fee to the license fee. In this context, he took over the management of the sub-project reform of contribution collection. In the second half of 2013 he took over the chairmanship of the Finance / Organization / IT department.

Hagen Brandstäter lives in Berlin . He is married and has two daughters.
