Hagen Leditschke

Hagen Leditschke (born August 15, 1984 ) is a German lifeguard and water polo player .

Life

Leditschke began swimming at the age of five. From 1995 he swam at SC Magdeburg . His specialty was the crawl. He was several times Saxony-Anhalt national champion. In 2000 he switched to water polo and played in the second division. Around 2001/2002 he reoriented himself and competed in lifeguarding. In 2003, at the age of 19, he set a world record in the Manikin Carry discipline (rescuing a 50-kilogram doll) that lasted for several years. At times he moved to a team in Halle (Saale) .

He became world champion as a lifeguard at the 2004 and 2006 World Championships and also achieved two silver medals. He is also multiple European champion, so in 2003, 2005 and three times in 2007. In 2005 he won two golds and one bronze at the World Games .

Since 2014 Leditschke has been active again as a water polo player for the Wasserball-Union Magdeburg .

He lives in Magdeburg and learned to be an industrial mechanic . In the summer of 2006 the 1.97 meter tall Leditschke became a sports soldier in Warendorf .

In 2010 he completed his studies as a state-certified technician specializing in production technology, and has been working as a production technologist at SKET GmbH in Magdeburg since then .

Honors

In 2006, Leditschke was allowed to enter the Golden Book of the City of Magdeburg in recognition of his sporting success as a lifeguard . The Interior Minister Hans-Peter Friedrich presented him with the silver laurel leaf in June 2012 .
