Hager Burgstall

The Hager Burgstall (presumably the Outbound Castle Einbach ) was a mountain castle in the district Oberrödham the community Altschwendt in District Schärding of Upper Austria .

This complex was probably built in the 12th or 13th century. It was probably a castle of the Waldeckers and was called Einbach.

The valley floor of the Einbach has three spurs at the confluence of a nameless channel, about 0.3 kilometers northwest of the village of Einbach, which according to the plan by Johann Ev. Lamprecht were all armed. An inspection of the property in the summer of 2012 revealed that the western and thus the longest spur has a mighty weir system with two 20 to 25 meter long section trenches . The structure of the complex as well as reading finds (ceramics) indicate that it was built or used in the 12th and 13th centuries. The middle spur may also have been reinforced, but due to the dense vegetation, it could only be partially walked on (a bailey or flank protection may be assumed here). The eastern spur has no reinforcement.

The weir systems are only partially recognizable due to the dense vegetation and the dumping of waste. In addition, part of the facility was destroyed during leveling work in 1964. An earth stable was also found near the Hager estate . The facility is not a listed building .
