As a local researcher, Johann Ev. Lamprecht in particular in the Lower Innviertel and wrote a number of local and parish histories there, including Schärding (1860), Andorf (1876), Raab (1877), Neuburg and Wernstein (1883), St. Agatha (1883), Mattighofen ( 1885), Hohenzell (1889), Taufkirchen , Rainbach , Diersbach and Sigharting (1891), Aurolzmünster , Peterskirchen and Eitzing (1906). In archaeological expeditions he also wandered through the area in search of Roman forts, old castles and fortifications, where he made many prehistoric finds and presented his findings in an extensive manuscript. In addition, Lamprecht wrote the historical-topographical register of the country ob der Enns ; it is a map that lists 13,000 place names with the year of their creation.

Awards
