Rupert Ruttmann (born July 25, 1906 in Peilstein im Mühlviertel ; † May 25, 1987 ) was an Austrian pedagogue , dialect poet and local researcher .

Live and act

Ruttmann attended the community school and the teacher training institute in Freistadt and taught in Bad Zell , Bach near Schwanenstadt, Freistadt, St. Oswald near Freistadt , Liebenau , Sipbachzell and Sigharting . As the primary school director of Sigharting, he was made an honorary citizen by the local community in 1971 . He was a member of the Innviertel artists' guild and consultant to the Upper Austrian provincial government. His grave is in the Sigharting cemetery.

His estate, which is kept in the Upper Austrian Provincial Archives, includes house chronicles from Sigharting, Diersbach and Enzenkirchen, Innviertel family tables, family trees of musicians, poets, Mühlviertel family trees and family trees of bathers and surgeons. His name register of the parish registers of Diersbach, Sigharting and Enzenkirchen is of interest to family researchers.

Fonts (selection)

In his free time he published around 50 local history treatises, collected around 300 legends from the districts of Freistadt and Schärding and contributed to the local history books of these districts. In 1989 the Heimatbuch von Sigharting, which he had written, was published:
