The Hagerty Peak is a turn 1500  m high mountain in the east of the West Antarctic Ellsworthlands . It rises on the southeastern foothills of the Sweeney Mountains .

The United States Geological Survey mapped it on the basis of its own measurements and using aerial photographs by the United States Navy between 1961 and 1967. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named the mountain in 1968 after Cornelius John Hagerty Jr. (1925-2009), photographer at McMurdo Station in the Antarctic winter of 1960.
