Hai Gaon

Hai Gaon ( Hai = Chija ; Hai ben Scherira Gaon ; also Haj or Chai ; * 939 ; † March 28, 1038 ) was Gaon to Pumbedita in Babylonia as the successor of his father Scherira Gaon .

He is one of the most important Geonim at all, worked as a decisor ( halachic individual scripts , responses ) and wrote mainly in Arabic .

His Mishnah comment has been lost.
