The Haigazian University ( Armenian Հայկազեան Համալսարան; Arabic جامعة هايكازيان) was founded as a college in Beirut in 1955 .

The school was named in honor of Armenag Haigazian , a former rector of an Armenian Jenanian Apostolic Institute in Konya , Turkey . The university is supported by the Armenian Evangelical Community. The campus is located in the Minet el-Hosn district .

From 1992 to 1995 the institution was officially called "Haigazian College University". In 1996 the institution was given university status. In 2005 there were 2000 students enrolled. The university has two faculties , the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, and an engineering school. The language of instruction is English .
