Hail the Sun is an American band that was formed in Chico (California) in 2009 and operates in the fields of post-hardcore , progressive rock and math rock . The band is known for their extraordinary time signature , for example alternating 10/4 and 11/4 in the song Testotyrannosaurus and 9/4 and 11/4 in Eight Ball, Coroner's Pocket .

history

Their first album, POW! Right in the kisser! , recorded them in Chico within three months. In 2014 they signed with Blue Swan Records, the record company owned by Will Swan, the guitarist of Dance Gavin Dance . The band's second album, Wake , was released on Blue Swan Records . In Equal Vision Records further albums released. Culture Scars from 2016 placed in the Billboard Charts in the categories New Artist , Top 200 Album , Indie Label and Rock .

The band toured with Dance Gavin Dance, I the Mighty , Circa Survive and Silverstein , among others .
